Honey Bees At Home is a complete personalised Beespoke Beekeeping service for those who would like the pleasure and benefits of having a Beehive within their garden or property, without the hassle or commitment of actually setting up, running and maintaining the hive. We provide the expertise, knowledge and experience, so that you can enjoy the benefits of the 100% natural, raw, unpasturised honey from your own garden. Raw local honey is blessed with many wonderful health benefits too.
As well as having your own hive, bees and honey, you will be helping the environment, assisting in the pollination of your local flora and fauna as well as learning about one of the most intelligent insects and their incredible domestic organisational skills.
If you have at least an average terraced garden of 40' x 12' keeping bees is absolutely feasible. Even if all the outside space you have is an easily accessible flat roof, we can still provide our services to you.
We have over 12 years experience of keeping dozens of hives in the UK and France. Our annual Honey harvest per hive can range from 10 lbs to a bumper crop of 126lbs from one hive !
Beekeeping is a time consuming hobby and honeybees are considered livestock and should therefore be registered (through us) with DEFRA. Unlike chickens for example, Honeybee hives are regularly checked by regional bee inspectors, for disease and well being. As BBKA registered beekeepers, we provide you with all the hassle free benefits of owning Honeybees and hives, without the outlay of time or worry.
We would also be happy to discuss providing a tutorial service. With many local beekeeping associations beginners classes being closed to new members, HBAH could help with your desire to get up and running with your new hobby. We are easily contactable for advice and direction.
If you are keen to use our services and you have some friends who you know would also be interested, then why not consider a syndicate hive. This would be one or two hives amongst a group of you, your friends or neighbours, with the cost, along with the yield of honey, all being shared.
HBAH is a personal service.
We are a small business and we work on a client by client basis.
We do all the work including the constant attention of the bees health.
