With over 10 year's Beekeeping experience HBAH has the knowledge and experience to be your personalised home Beekeeper.
We originally started for the sole benefit of having our own home honey to assist with hayfever sufferers within our families and friends. It is said that local raw un-pasturised honey, over a period of time can have an imunising effect for hayfever sufferers. For anyone who knows the annoyance and discomfort this can bring, it was a case of trying anything that might help.
Once we had one hive, the rest followed. The amount of hives we keep every year, varies, depending on supply and demand. We recently provided hives for private clients and from there HBAH was born.
A member of the BBKA and a registered swarm collector for South London, Matthew Austin (Managing Director) has seen his hobby go from strength to strength. He has over 20 years of client based service experience in a variety of industries. His beekeeping activities and clients have included 2 top London restaurants, where the hives were sited on the roof tops of the restaurants in central London as well as Buckingham Palace, where his services were put to good use removing a large swarm during one of Her Majesty's summer garden parties.
We will commence our service, once we have discussed the feasability of a beehive in your home or garden. From there, we will explain how the 12 month period will work and what happens and when. Your input can be as little or as much as you want. We will need access to the hive, so appointments for visits will be well organised in advance.
Having honey bees at home has only ever given us and previous clients great joy and fulfilment. There really are few negative aspects to having a hive of honey bees at the bottom of your garden.
