"A couple of years ago I became increasingly alarmed at the general plight of honeybees in this country. My wife must have got bored of hearing me go on about the subject and surprised me on my Birthday with a beehive at the bottom of the garden ( a small Barnes garden I hasten to add) . Matt of course did the installation and gave an inspirational introduction to beekeeping! By the end of the first summer our small hive of 5,000 or so was probably 40,000 strong thanks to a prolific Queen. In the Autumn Matt helped us harvest our first, and somewhat unexpected, pots of the most delicious honey...some 25 in all. We also had wax and propolis which I have used ever since whenever I felt under the weather.
Keeping bees has been a joy, pure and simple and I thank you Matt for making it possible!"
